Losing one or more of your teeth creates a gap in your smile, affects your ability to chew properly, and can alter your diet and nutrition. Dental implants serve as an artificial tooth root that integrate with healthy bone, provide permanent support for dental crowns, and add stability to dentures. Dental implants, like natural teeth, stimulate the jaw and reduce bone loss. They look and feel natural and can last a lifetime with proper maintenance.
At Belfair Dental Care PA, we use BioHorizons implants that are clinically-proven by some of the most thorough and in-depth research in the industry. They are durable, biocompatible and made from titanium alloy, the most widely used material in implant dentistry. Our dental implants carry a lifetime warranty and have proprietary Laser-Lok technology which promotes gum tissue health around the implant and helps your smile remain beautiful over time.
After your dental implant has successfully integrated within bone, your doctor will remove the healing abutment or cover screw from your implant and take an impression to fabricate an abutment and crown (as seen in the picture below). Using our CEREC technology, we are able to perform digital scans of the implant in a matter of minutes, and fabricate a beautiful e.max crown. The e.max crown is cemented to the abutment, and attached to the implant as a single unit. This precision technique eliminates any chance of excess cement getting close to the level of the implant and causing complications.
